Types Of Care That Are Licensed

  1. Family Child Care
    Child care that is conducted in a person’s home for three to six children.
  2. Group Child Care
    This is typically preschool programs that care for children ages two years old and older.
  3. Group Child Care Home
    Child care provided by an individual in a facility that may be an extended or modified family child care home that complies with county zoning requirements for seven to twelve children.
  4. Before School Care, After School Care, Summer & Intercession Care
    These programs provide care for school-aged (4 years 8 months to 12 years old) children.  Note:  If a program provides care for children who are Pre-Kindergarten (Have not started kindergarten yet), the program would have to follow the group child care rules.
  5. Infant/Toddler Care
    Programs that care for children who are aged 6 weeks to 36 months old.
