EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING (E&T)

Program Goal:  To assist able-bodied persons receiving Food Stamp benefits to obtain employment and to become self-sufficient.

The Employment and Training (E&T) program is a statewide work program designed to assist able-bodied adults to become attached to the workforce.  E&T serves Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients and puts emphasis on:  employment, work experience, training, on-the-job training, and limited job search activities. E&T also provides supportive services in the form of a participant reimbursement to cover work-related expenses and child care.
