Disability Determination Branch: The Disability Determination Branch (DDB) is the State agency responsible for making the medical determinations on disability claims filed with the Social Security Administration (SSA) under the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) programs. The mission of DDB is the timely, accurate and cost-effective adjudication of disability claims filed by State of Hawaii residents under Title II (SSDI) and Title XVI (SSI) of the Social Security Act.
