Posted on Oct 11, 2013 in NEWSFor Immediate Release: October 11, 2013
Effective October 9, 2013, eligible professionals and eligible hospitals interested in participating in the Hawaii Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program can register on the Hawaii State Level Registry (SLR) and begin the attestation process. Prior to registering on the SLR, the same professionals and hospitals must register on the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Registration and Attestation System (R&A System).
Through the EHR Incentive Program, eligible professionals and eligible hospitals can receive incentive payments to adopt, implement, upgrade, or meaningfully use EHR technology. Eligible professionals can receive up to $63,750 over six years; eligible hospitals can receive more than $5,000,000 over four years.
For more information about this program, visit the Hawaii Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Provider Outreach Page (POP) at https://hi.arraincentive.com/. This on-line resource provides useful tools including an eligibility calculator, a jump start page, workbooks (for eligible professionals, hospitals and group administrators), frequently asked questions (FAQs), a link to the CMS R&A System, and a link to the Hawaii SLR. Providers should visit the POP on a regular basis for updated information about the Hawaii Medicaid EHR Incentive Program.
The Hawaii Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Provider Manual is an additional on-line resource for providers and available for download from https://med-quest.us/providers/ElectronicHealthRecordIncentiveProgram.html. Providers seeking assistance with how to achieve meaningful use of their electronic health technology can visit the Hawaii Pacific Regional Extension Center at www.hawaiihie.org.
