Med-QUEST Extends Enrollment Deadline

Posted on May 2, 2013 in NEWS

Due to unanticipated delays affecting the islands of Oahu and Maui, the Department of Human Services (DHS) Med-QUEST Division (MQD) has extended the deadline for annual plan enrollment by one week.

The health plans serving QUEST clients are AlohaCare, HMSA, Kaiser Permanente, Ohana Health Plan, and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan.  To ensure that Maui and Oahu members receive the standard two weeks to review their health plans and make changes, the MQD has extended their enrollment deadline to May 22.   Members who prefer to remain with their current health plan should not fill out the plan change form.  Plan changes take effect July 1, 2013.  This is the only time during the benefit year that clients can choose a health plan.

MQD clients on Oahu and Maui also will receive updated information about enrollment in the Kaiser Health Plan.

For specific questions, QUEST clients should contact their health plan directly, or call Med-QUEST Enrollment Services at 1-800-316-8005.  More information about the DHS Med-QUEST Division, visit our website https://humanservices.hawaii.gov/mqd/
